Its been a long time since I've posted anything. I have been super busy with work, freelance, and a few surprises that I'll reveal soon. I am super excited about the projects I've got on my plate and I can not wait to share some of my experiences, my achievements, and my disappointments. I thank God every day for the journey I am embarking on, and I appreciate all the love and support from family, friends, and from every day strangers.
I recently just attended the
Anime World Atlanta con this past weekend and had a blast. Me and my good buddy Eric, had an incredible time and I hope there's more to come like it in the future. I managed to pull a couple of illustrations together for the my booth and I can not thank enough all the support from just random people, who really appreciated the work I did and their generous comments. Quick shout out to Diana Chen, who recommended I should attend the event. I admit I not the biggest enthusiast of
anime, but the ones I do love, have definitely had an influence in my work and my life. From the fast-paced and mythology of
Naruto, to the detailed
subtlety of human emotion and epic scale of the beauty of nature in the films of
Miyazaki; the works of
Japanese animation has shaped the way we
perceive art from other cultures.
Anime has definitely been
catalyst, at least for me, to broaden my horizons of how imagination can create something different and new. Their are so many stories that have been untold and so many new techniques to be discovered in our little artsy
fartsy community.
Anyways, before I get too long winded, I wanted to share these pieces of

Totoro from My Neighbor

Hey guys, these were some of the submissions I did for Spectrum and Expose 9. I didn't get into neither of them, but the experience and rush of putting something together and submitting was worth the challenge. Happy Belated Holidays!!! Just a lil Christmas card I did a few weeks ago for the good ol' holiday cheer. Been in Kansas City, MO (fyi. Missouri not Kansas lol) for the past week and really enjoying my time here. I hope everyone is enjoying their families and maybe even a lil time off from work and school. Some of you may have heard of the crazy weather thats been going down in my town of Atlanta lately. Flooded homes and theme parks, closed streets. I admit i felt kind of selfish a bit when i was upset because I was trying to move during the whole ordeal, but in my defense I didnt know how serious it was till I looked on the news. My prayers go out to all the families who have lost there homes and the peoples' lives taken in the flooding recently. Keep your head up Atlanta, we'll pull through it. Peace and God bless.
Well my birthday was yesterday, but I had a little free time with the celebrating and stuff to do a quick post. Been really busy lately, going back and forth between Atlanta and Kansas City, work in the day, and freelance by night. Hopefully within the next few weeks things will die down a little. My dad turned 50 this past week as well so I had to come home and celebrate with the fam and all. Appreciate all the messages on facebook and the phone calls. Hope everyone's life has been cool. Can't wait to see what everyone's doing. Anyways bout to hit the bed, hope everyone had a good weekend. Peace and God bless.
